It was created at the beginning of the 20th century as a gift from the Silesian people to the head of state - Ignacy Mościcki. The Castle, in addition to the actual residence, also includes the Lower Castle, functioning from the beginning as an outbuilding, and a wooden chapel under the invocation of st. Jadwiga Śląska.
